Environmental Project Manager



Green Star Environmental is a multi-faceted environmental consulting firm based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  The company was established to provide superior consulting services to a wide range of clients in the industrial, financial, and legal service sectors. 

 

We recognize that a successful environmental consulting business is built by establishing long-term relationships with both our clients and our employees.  Green Star offers expertise in the general areas of environmental consulting, environmental compliance, remediation services, risk assessment and risk-based closures, acquisition due diligence, air quality permitting and compliance, litigation support, and data management services. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager duties include management of office and field activities to support environmental projects including soil/groundwater sampling and monitoring activities, monitoring well/soil boring installation and sampling, coordination and supervision of subcontractors, evaluation of remedial alternatives and closure options, and general environmental tasks required to move projects forward.
  • The Project Manager should be capable of interfacing with both clients and regulatory personnel to facilitate execution of projects.
  • The position will be responsible for preparation of technical data summaries, data tables, data mapping and presentation, and preparation of environmental reports.
  • The anticipated work includes due diligence from Phase I ESAs to Phase II site assessments, as well as investigation of various industrial and commercial sites for petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and metals.
  • Additional responsibilities may include assistance with Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, storm water quality, air quality, or other compliance relates services as needed by the company.
  • Administrative duties will include proposal preparation, invoicing, and budget management, as required to manage environmental projects. Some travel will be necessary within the USA

Qualifications:

  • Green Star is seeking candidates that currently live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or those that are willing to immediately relocate themselves to the area. 

The position is located in Green Star’s Lewisville, Texas office.

 In addition, the ideal candidate will meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in geology, or related field,
  • Texas Professional Geoscientist License, preferred, but not required,
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience,
  • Ability to work independently,
  • Ability to perform multiple project tasks concurrently,?
  • Excellent oral and written technical/business communication skills are mandatory,?
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel,?
  • Must take pre-employment computer test for basic computer and writing skills, and
  • Pre-employment physical and drug test is required.
