BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa is one of the largest producers of energy coal in South Africa and operates four collieries in the Witbank/Middelburg area of Mpumalanga, with the aim of realising its vision of creating and sharing wealth, by providing coal to power the lives of the world community
The key performance areas of the job require that you comply with the BHP Billiton Code of Conduct and Charter values, HSEC standards, OHASA safety, and all policies and procedures.
You will participate in the implementation of organisational interventions, understand and promote HRD legislation and be responsible for effective administration. Process / Mining Quality Systems have to be maintained through accurate inputs, as well as the evaluation of course effectiveness, development of new courses and implementation of improvements.
The ability to lead others by setting direction and co-coordinating and controlling their activities is a prerequisite.
The purpose of the role is to conduct Process / Mining Training interventions and Programmes in order to develop employees to meet BHP Billiton’s objectives.
Applicants must be able to present training material in a clear and effective way and possess the ability to deliver innovative solutions to challenges is required.
You must have this list of combined exposure, competencies, and qualifications required for success:
· Process: National Diploma in Metallurgy or equivalent,
· Surface: National Diploma and Blasting Certificate.
· Underground: National Diploma, Blasting Certificate and Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency.
You need to demonstrate the ability to function in a team and have strong problem solving abilities.
Applicants must be able to present training material in a clear and effective way. An ability to deliver innovative solutions to challenges is required.
You must be computer literate. One or more of the following would be an added advantage: Experience in Training and Facilitating, Training and Development certificate or Registered Assessor, a minimum of 3 years experience in your relevant field.
