Service Electricians - up to $35 p/h neg.

Our client is a leading power distribution service company with an Australia-wide presence, and is wholly Australian owned. They provide Low and High Voltage maintenance and commissioning services to the power, water, and mining industries.
They urgently require Service Electricians for their [Location] operations, who would work on a 9 day fortnight with an after hours on call roster.
A Qld Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence is a critical requirement, with a minimum of 4 years experience on HV maintenance. Competency is needed in the following areas, of which experience in 5 of the 8 should get you across the line:
· Low Voltage Air Circuit Breaker and Moulded Case maintenance and rebuild.
· High Voltage Oil, Vacuum and SF6 Circuit Breaker maintenance.
· Testing of Attracted Disc and Electronic Feeder, Motor and Generator Protection Relays.
· Testing and commissioning of High Voltage installations.
· Modification and testing of Low Voltage Distribution systems.
· Experience with Thermography.
· Root cause analysis.
· Testing of Earthing Systems.
The most one could expect to be away from home is about 20% of the time as they focus their core business around the Brisbane area.
The initial hourly rate would be up to $35 per hour, depending on your experience and the role is for a permanent position.
