The Company…
This market leading mining and construction company has interests all over Australasia. Recognised throughout these areas as a rapidly expanding company, it is currently undertaking a new and exciting open pit greenfield’s project in Western Australia.
Your Role…
Reporting directly to the Project Manager you will be responsible for the creation of the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality culture on site. Camp construction will be underway in September making this a true Greenfield’s project.
As a result of the stage that this project is in, your duties and responsibilities within this hands-on role will include but not be limited to:
· Creation of the Safety Management System
· Creation and implementation of HSEQ policies and procedures
· Overseeing the construction of the site including the camp from a HSEQ view
· Actively participate and promote continuous improvement and HSE awareness
· Advise management of legislative changes and ensure compliance
· Lead and mentor a professional safety team
· Monitoring and reviewing Emergency Management Plan
· Participate in auditing, risk assessments and accident investigations
· Monthly and annual reporting to external bodies and management
Your Qualifications…
It is expected that you will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety with demonstrated experience in Health, Safety and Environment. 8 – 10 years experience is required, preferably in a similar role within the mining industry. Experience in setting up greenfield’s projects will be highly regarded.
Your Remuneration…
This project operates on a FIFO roster of 8/6 from[Location] . This is a senior level role and consequently attracts a substantial remuneration package in line with market expectations and reflective of your level experience.
