Aside from the usual tasks such as grade control you will also get involved in setting up new procedures for supervising in-pit sampling and best practice sample preparation. Recent feedback from a Geologist working in this team is “you really get a lot of support here and there are a lot of experienced Geos to learn from”.
Above industry training offered by this mid tier mining house includes Frontline Management and Geo-statistical courses in preparation for a Senior role. Start on a larger site before moving into the Senior role on a smaller operation. Resource or International secondments available.
