Our client is a major multi-commodity, global mining group. They are currently looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their Coordination Department. In this role, your principal accountability will be to ensure all active mine areas are maintained to an acceptable level of risk by coordinating all daily and long-term geotechnical requirements.
Reporting to the Superintendent, your primary functions for this role include:
· The delivery of short & long term geotechnical input in specific mine areas
· Providing direction and mentoring to the Geotechnician team
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
· At least 2+ years Geotechnical experience in a hard rock underground mine environment
· Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering
· Experience in the application of numerical modelling
