This role offers enormous scope for an open cut Drill and Blast Engineer with a hands-on attitude to develop their career and offers the variety of planning, design, preparation of forecasts and schedules.
You will need to be a degree qualified Mining Engineer and have a couple of solid years Drill and Blast experience, ideally in an open cut coal environment. Other experience in blast and design initiatives will be highly regarded, as will your ability to use common mining software that incorporate modelling and scheduling packages. The right candidate will be rewarded with an excellent career path and a highly competitive salary package.
Your main areas of responsibility will be:
· Developing Drill and Blast plans.
· Preparing forecasts and schedules.
· Monitoring and reconciling performance against plans.
· Continually improving the drill and blast process.
· Undertake project work as required.
Ensure that D&B operations are carried out in a safe manner
