The current vacancy of Emergency Response - Safety Officer is to be located at their site in WA, [Location]. To be successful in this role you will have been an Operator and possess a minimum of 3 years experience ideally underground, you will have had a good track record when it comes to safety and a genuine desire to pursue a career in that field long term. You'll also have to demonstrate that you've had exposure to emergency response and have the right attitude to train and mentor staff on safety matters.
The Position Details:
On a day to day basis you'll work in-conjunction with the Mine Foreman to supervise the workforce ensuring they are adhering to all safety procedures. To ensure that the HSE department is progressive you'll be required to monitor safety procedures ensuring they are relevant and up to date, should any improvements need to be made it will be your responsibility to present those to the department and implement change as required.
Candidate Requirements:
· Certificate IV in Training and Assessing
· A minimum of 3 years operator experience - ideally underground
· Strong desire to pursue a career in HSE
· Competent computer skills
· Exceptional verbal and written communication ability
