Resource Geologist

Our Client is an established mining and processing operation with a huge global presence that seeks a fulltime Resource Geologist.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be responsible for all the collection, management and accurate analysis of digital geological data for the mine, and construction and maintenance of geological block modelling and resource estimation procedures.
Key elements of the role also include:
· Plan, co-ordinate and supervise the input of all data to the database and resource modelling on both a local "stope" scale and deposit scale.
· Supervise, co-ordinate and carry out the retrieval of data from the GIS.
· Evaluate and recommend new computer hardware and software developments.
To provide assessment of new technology/software to assist in the information technology requirements for the geological group.
To provide cost efficient services and procedures for the timely updating of resource estimates for the deposit and local mining areas.
Plan and co-ordinate the modelling of lithology and structure in liaison with the on site geologists.
To be considered for this role you will have experience in exploration or mine geology with specialisation in computer techniques and mine planning software experience in either Surpac, Datamine and Mine2-4D
This position is fly in/fly out from either [Location] or [Location] on a 8 days on 6 days off roster with excellent on-site accommodation provided.
