Mechanical Design Engineer



·         Mining and Civil applications

Our client is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of high performance strata support products for the mining, tunnelling and civil engineering industries. They produce an innovative range of rock bolts, load plates and consumables, many of which are developed in collaboration with industry to meet specific project needs.
 
They seek a degree qualified engineer with an interest in development engineering to head up their new product development initiatives.
 
The role will require you to:
·         Provide innovative and practical mechanical solutions
·         Prepare & manage project parameters from design through to testing.
·         Design of prototypes.
·         Meet Australian quality standards and procedures
·         Prepare instruction manual technical specifications
·         Liaise with end users throughout the product development life cycle
·         Creation and presentation of meaningful data to support product performance
 
You will have:
·         10 years + experience with a history of innovative developments where you can demonstrate your personal contribution to the innovations.
·         3D CAD skills (Autodesk Inventor would be premium).
·         Sound understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle.
·         Ability to prove analytically that your solutions will be fit for purpose
·         A degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
