Mechanical Fitter

Our Client is a leader in supplying mining and earth moving equipment to many sites throughout Western Australia and they are looking for a suitably qualified Mechanical Fitters to join their team.
The successful candidates will be [Location] based but will need to be able to do site work for up to 3 weeks at a time. If you are looking for a diverse role that allows you to work on site but also be based in [Location] then this is the position for you. Candidates will need to fly out to a variety of different locations in WA when needed for shutdowns and repairs.
Applicants will be responsible for:
· Observing mechanical/hydraulic problems in and out of operation
· Diagnose problems in all equipment
· Capable of understanding parts manuals and service
· Maintenance of heavy duty earthmoving equipment, including excavators, shovels, loaders etc.
· General workshop maintenance
· Component Overhaul and machine build
The successful applicant will:
· Proof of recent experience in a heavy duty environment
· Experience with large excavators, dozzers, dump trucks
· Relevant Qualifications and Education background.
· Ideally have a good tool kit up to 32mm
· Able to work from Mon-Thurs 7am -3pm and until 3.30pm on Friday.
· Ability to obtain a police clearance for site wok
Excellent pay rates with overtime allowances are payable and permanent positions are on offer for the right candidate. An EWP, forklift and First Aid Qualifications are also desirable but not essential.
