Our Client, based in Cardiff, Wales is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining industry.
This Client currently has vacancies for open pit and underground mining engineers.
We are looking for applicants with operational and mine planning experience.
Successful applicants will be:
· competent in the use of computerised mine planning tools such as Whittle, Mine 2/4D, GEMCOM/SURPAC and Vulcan and have experience in mine optimisation, pit design, equipment selection, production scheduling, and opex and capex estimation.
· Excellent communication, technical report writing and project management skills, together with a high level of numeracy, are essential.
· This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of global projects and commodities, including feasibility studies and due diligence mandates. Overseas travel forms a large part of the role and knowledge of a foreign language would therefore be an advantage.
