You are an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is seeking a role with a strong focus on Design within one of Australia's largest mining equipment manufacturers. You are looking to join a company which empowers its employees to meet its goals through on-going training and education.
Within this role you will report directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for design modifications and new components for drills, draglines, shovels and other heavy mining equipment.
You are degree qualified with previous modelling experience with Solidworks (preferred), or a similar product such as Autodesk Inventor, UNIGraphics, Pro Engineer or Solid Edge. You will be proactive, work well within a team, have excellent communication skills, and display effective time management skills.
Ideally you will have a background in heavy equipment and experience conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) would be highly regarded.
Candidates with Australia working experience need only apply. A minimum of five years experience in a design role essential.
