You are an experienced Mine Engineer looking to take that next step in your career. Being motivated and driven you enjoy a challenge and are able to identify the problems that are not always obvious.
Reporting to the Mine Manager your role will be to develop a tactical direction of the mine with respect to strategic long term objectives and produce Life of Asset Schedules and other enabling plans.
Applicants will hold a B Eng (Mining) and have a minimum of five (5) years mine planning experience in an underground environment. Computer literacy in Vulcan, excel and other Microsoft packages is essential and a geotechnical understanding of large scale mining operations will be highly regarded.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
· Developing and evaluation of Life of Asset Business Plans
· The supervision and mentoring of junior engineers
· Significantly contributing to the budgeting process
· Ensuring a safe work environment at all times
· Ensuring effective communication with both internal and external customers
