Due to the promotion of a Geologist at our clients nickel project their team has now changed and one of two options have become available Underground Project Geologist (Resource Definition or Production) - do either of these options appeal to you?
Underground Project Geologist - Resource Definition. Primary responsibility of this role is to manage all aspects of the resource definition/ infill drilling, from hole design through to interpretation of data and ore/ lithology modelling. Reports include: Geological Technicians/ Core Yard Technicians
Underground Project Geologist - Production. Primary responsibility of this role is to manage all aspects of the underground production cycle and ore/ litholgy modelling. Reports include: Mine Geologist/ Graduate Mine Geologist/ Geological Technicians
Candidate Requirements:
· Formal qualifications in geology
· Underground mining experience - ideally 2 + years
· Knowledge of computer spreadsheets and at least one mining software package (Vulcan, Surpac, Gemcom etc)
· Excellent communication skills

You'll be guided by experienced seniors on site and work as part of a team that are passionate about geology, enjoy where they work and know how to have a laugh!
The general feeling on site is very positive, you'll find both the permanent staff and contractors are very happy to be there and as a result the environment is a great place to call your "home away from home". The camp facilities are excellent and improving daily, on site you'll find en-suited rooms, fully equipped gym, cinema room, outdoor sporting activities, swimming pool and much more.
The roster is 9 days on 5 days off and there is an all weather airstrip on site. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated at interview stage and will be based on your level of experience.
