Our client expects their [Location] project to be at drilling phase later this year, as a result they now need to secure a Chief Exploration Geologist who is able to manage the manganese greenfields exploration activity on site.

Direction from the Exploration Manager of this well funded junior mining company is for us to secure a Chief Geologist who has the drive and know-how to play a pivotal role in an exploration project. To be considered for this role you'll have extensive exploration experience in a management capacity, possess a genuine desire to work with interesting geology and thrive in an environment where you'll be given supported autonomy.
Initial key responsibilities will include:
· Coordinate all heritage, environmental and government responsibilities
· Coordinate and manage future drilling programmes
· Manage and mentor staff - 2 Geologists are already working on the project
All going to plan, the company plans to move very quickly to production phase after the initial drilling is completed. This transition will bring with it additional responsibilities for the Chief Exploration Geologist as they will be heavily focused on operational tasks including infrastructure, logistics and recruitment.
The role of Chief Exploration Geologist will be based in [Location] office with site travel required on a campaign basis. An attractive salary will be based on level of experience and will be discussed during the recruitment process.
