Contract Senior Planning Engineer

Our Client is seeking a proactive and self-motivated Senior Planning Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the successful person will be exposed to all aspects of underground mine engineering and a broad range of mining activities.
Utilising your background in Underground Mine Planning, you will coordinate the development of production strategies and studies to optimise the economic exploitation of the ore body with a focus on:
· Strategic planning of the expanding Underground Operation.
· Mine optimisation studies,
· Underground ore reserve estimation
· Medium and long term planning.
· Evaluate feasibility studies that consider optimum phase sequencing,
· Mining equipment and infrastructure requirements.

This position is fly in/fly out from [Location] on an 8 days on 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, gymnasium and sports oval. Telstra mobile, and wireless broadband access available.
