Our Client operates the largest underground mine in Australia and is one of the leading producers of lead, silver and zinc in the world.
They are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their project team and take control of start up P&ID checks, sign off mechanical completion, ensure compliance and direct the commissioning crew.
As the Commissioning Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the Production Group is able to take ownership and to safely and efficiently operate the facilities delivered by the project following handover.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
· Work with the EPC contractor to deliver key commissioning related philosophies, strategies and plan during the commissioning stage of the Project.
· Ensure that the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are planned well in advance and are fully integrated with the project construction schedule.
· Participate in the key design reviews such as P & ID, Site Layout, and HAZOP etc. to ensure that the pre-commissioning and commissioning requirements are incorporated into the design of the facilities.
· Manage the commissioning of the project systems and commissioning crew.
To be considered for the role you will need to possess;
· Experience in Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and start up of a large scale mineral processing facility.
· Experience in dealing with the Original Equipment Manufacturers, consultants and contractors involved in the Mining Sector.
· Knowledge of Project Management and Project Planning
· Knowledgeable in the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument and Control disciplines for commissioning planning and execution.
· Have or be able to obtain S1, S2, S3 metalliferrous training
