Plant Metallurgist

Our Client operates in a large scale open cut mine and underground pit with an adjacent processing plant consisting of POX, flotation and CIL.
They are currently looking for a Plant / Project Metallurgist to join their team to provide metallurgical input into the efficient running of the plant to ensure the plant is continually striving for maximum optimisation and efficiency.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Reports on production by preparing daily and weekly statistics as required.
· Provides ongoing training and development to production staff to ensure adherence to safe work practices, particularly in relation to the handling of hazardous materials, and supplies technical guidance and training in the formulation of these practices.
· Liaises with maintenance personnel on a daily basis to ensure technical requirements of the processing plant are met.
· Performs troubleshooting and / or investigative metallurgical / operational duties as required to ensure plant is optimised.
· Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures.
· Provide technical support to the Processing / Metallurgy department to improve process plant performance.
· Process plant troubleshooting.
· Conduct metallurgical test work and surveys to improve process plant performance.

A generous remuneration package including relocation will be offered to the successful candidate who will have a tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or similar and +2 years post graduate experience.
