Metallurgist

Responsibilities include, but are
not limited to:
- Participating in technical issues with manufacturing and Process
Improvement Teams.
- Review specifications and drawings.
- Evaluate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Plan processing steps and evaluate processes.
- Act as technical support for product development.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (required) in
Metallurgy or Material Science with emphasis on metals.
- Appropriate course work in physical
metallurgy, mechanical metallurgy, heat treatment, etc. are a must.
- Internship or 1 – 2 years experience
in metals manufacturing environment with thorough understanding of
manufacturing processes (desired).
- Basic experience with MS Word,
Excel, Access, etc. are a must.
- Able to develop written instructions
and procedures for processes.
- Capable of offering support and
guidance to resolve technical issues in manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem solving skills based on
technical knowledge.
- Able to prioritize work in a
multitask environment.
