Workshop / Technical Services Manager: Heavy Earthmoving Equipment

Our client, a fast expanding distributor of market leading Heavy Earthmoving Equipment, now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop / Technical Services Manager.
The ideal incumbent will have the vision, skills and experience to take up this position, situated at a well known Open Pit Mine.
Requirements:
· A successful track record of managing heavy earthmoving equipment workshops, within the open cast mining environment
· Previous African expat experience will be advantageous
· Hands-on and won’t hesitate to roll up sleeves to get involved with diagnostics, troubleshooting ,etc.
· Positive outlook on work and life in general
· Have held, or currently holds a position of Mobile Plant Maintenance Manager / Workshop Manager / Branch Manager / Technical Services Manager, or similar – with the following exposure / experience / skills:
· Acute practical sense
· Leadership presence
· Large budget management skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong technical heavy earthmoving equipment experience
· Day-to-day maintenance management
· Commissioning, decommissioning
· Troubleshooting, diagnostics
· Rebuild (change-outs, scheduled maintenance)
· Maintenance Planning
· Field Maintenance (breakdowns)
· Workshop Maintenance
· Welding bay, light vehicles, etc
This is not a Full Maintenance Contract or MARC position, but experience in that field will count in your favour.
