My client, an emerging Australian mining company is looking for a Metallurgical Production Superintendent. You will be responsible for the development of the policies, processes and procedures required for the safe operation of the concentrator supporting the companies flagship project, a high quality 100% owned tenement positioned in the Mid West region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Project Metallurgy Manager, your role will involve the preparation of all operational manuals required for the concentrator to a format as determined. You will assist with evaluations of the layout of equipment to ensure the concentrator is easily operated and correctly maintained. Your involvement will include a hand in the recruitment/appointment of key staff and initial training of all personnel required for the operational phase of the concentrator.
Initially the role will be [Location] based but may in future operate on a 9/5 FIFO roster.
The essential requirements for the position are:
· Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
· 7 - 10 years’ experience in the mineral processing industry
· Process control experience in the crushing, grinding and floatation processes
· Previous experience in PLC programming and ladder logic
· Knowledge and experience in Magnetite Ore Processing will be highly regarded
· Excellent Written and Verbal English language skills
· Computer literacy
