Senior Mechanical Engineer

- Serves as the Lead Discipline Engineer on projects and proposals
- Prepares and updates the Department's Design Basis for a Project
- Supervises/performs tasks of mechanical engineering on studies, projects and technical proposals
- Maintains a copy of the project estimate and generates change notices
- Assigns all engineering work including checking of calculations; reviews engineering sketches
- Checks drawings for conformity with design requirements
- Stamps drawings as required
- Ensures that drawing recheck is performed
- Usually acts as lead mechanical engineer on one large project or on several smaller projects, proposals, studies and is responsible for routine management of all mechanical engineering functions under the direction of project manager
- Able to represent the mechanical department and company to clients
- Makes responsible technical and management decisions for all aspects of Mechanical design required for the execution of projects
Requirements:
- Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree
- Requires experience with computerized process modeling/simulation
- Requires minimum of 5 or more years of relevant industry experience
