Project Geologist - Industrial Minerals

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Geologist who will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the field exploration activities of our industrial minerals prospect in Otago, New Zealand. The project is located 30 minutes from Dunedin, and approximately two hours from the winegrowing and thrill seeking Central Otago region.

Reporting to the Project Manager, your key role responsibilities include:
·         Plan, develop and supervise drill programs and trenching activities
·         Supervise sample collection
·         Institute quality control procedures to monitor assay accuracy
·         Interpret and develop geology and mineralization models
·         Interpret and aid in resource estimation
·         Update the Project Manager and Senior Management on a regular basis

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
·         A tertiary qualification in geology
·         3 years experience in exploration or mine based exploration and resource definition
·         Exposure to Surpac or other mining software
·         Reverse circulation and diamond drilling experience
·         Ability to work unsupervised
·         Excellent communications skills
