An opportunity has arisen with a recognised employer of choice for an Environmental Superintendent. Our client, a global mining giant, operates underground and open pit mines throughout Australia and the world with interests in a range of different commodities. This opportunity exists at a remote, unique world-class operation in Northern Australia.
Reporting to the HSEC Manager and leading the Environmental team you will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing environmental management systems and policies at the mine.
The duties and responsibilities of this role include but will not be limited to:
· Maintaining ISO 14001 accreditation
· Managing the environmental team as well as contractors and consultants as required
· Liaising with relevant stakeholders
· Preparing reports for senior management
· Ensuring department operates within budget
The successful applicant will be a high performing, degree qualified, environmental management professional with previous experience within mining or heavy industry.
Ideally you will have:
· Project management experience
· Demonstrated leadership skills
· An ability to deliver quality results
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
