Job Objectives
Exploration of sites
· Drilling
· Responsible for Planning, Designing and preparation of geological report through execution of drilling work.
· Operation on site included collecting and describing cutting and cores, advising drilling personnel regarding expected borehole depth and lithological sequence, zones, casing seats, rate of penetration and possible hazardous intervals.
· Conducting core logging and interpret of lithological conditions on site
· Prepared geological borehole forecasts and structural prediction through interpretation and analysis of production logs and core data.·
· Participates in the up-dating of all geological documents such as structural contour maps, mapping of outcrop, isopach, cross section, core reports and statistics. Visits rig, as necessary to attend logging and coring, testing and sampling operations
· Performs quick interpretation on site and carries out detailed pertophysical analysis of the log results. Carried out other similar or related duties such as liaising with other sections, reading geological maps and preparing reports
· Inferring in situ morphologies of coal measure
The successful applicant will be deployed in the field and will be expected to run and manage exploration from a field-based camp.
