Reporting to the GM Reserves & Resources and seconded to the Gosowong Gold Mine
This position is to manage and assure the technical integrity of Mineral Assets at our Gosowong Gold Mine in Indonesia.
This will be achieved by managing brownfields growth, resources and reserves governance and production reliability.
You will be responsible for overseeing the organisation and leadership of seconded Gosowong mine and development geology teams and contributing to the performance management, remuneration reviews and succession planning for the individuals within those teams.
You will also be responsible for leading technical excellence and assurance for resources and reserves including, definition, estimation, reporting, grade control, production reconciliation and reliability.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following key skills and attributes -
· Bachelor degree in earth sciences, mining engineering or closely related discipline
· Postgraduate degree in technical and/or business
· Highly trained in safety and risk management
· Sound technical background in mine geology including sampling theory, QA/QC, resource estimation
· Strong operations management ability including planning, leading, executing and controlling projects to achieve physical and financial outcomes safely and efficiently
· Ability to lead and influence people to achieve personal and team goals within the Newcrest values and behaviours
· Highly developed communication, organisation and leadership skills
· The ability to build strong relationship with all stakeholders both internally and externally
