(ITSI) is a national Engineering, Construction & Consulting firm based in Walnut Creek, California, ( HYPERLINK "http://www.itsi.com/" www.itsi.com) focusing on providing design-build infrastructure and environmental solutions for our clients. ITSI's clients include all branches of the Department of Defense in addition to municipal and commercial clients.
We are seeking a Project Geologist for our Oak Ridge, TN office to work on environmental and remediation projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site characterization, site assessment and site remediation of contaminated sites
- Executing field sampling programs; including sampling, sample handling/packaging and preparation of COC documentation, and sample packaging and shipping
- Management of Investigation Derived Wastes and contaminated media produced during remedial actions
- Maintenance of field documentation including daily reports, sampling logs, equipment calibration records, shipping and receiving manifests
- Work Plan and Investigation Report preparation, including preparation of sample tables, site maps and diagrams, figures, and iso-concentration contours, and related data interpretation tasks
- Tasks include a mixture of field work, data evaluation and report writing.
Qualifications and Education:
- Geology or Environmental Science degree
- 5 - 10 years experience working in remediation investigation and the remediation construction arena
- RCRA and/or CERCLA investigation and remedial action experience
- Report and work plan writing skills
- Military/government environmental project experience preferred
- Proficiency with MS Windows computing systems and MS Office software required. Proficiency with data base software, scheduling software, and some GIS experience desirable
