Senior Project Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must take a personal and proactive approach to health, safety, and environment. Must understand and follow all state, federal and company health, safety and environmental requirements applicable to the work area and task assigned.
- Identify, develop and oversee major construction projects.
- Key role in project planning from a safety and execution standpoint.
- Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Write Scope of Work and AFE (Application for Expenditure) for capitol projects.
- Manage on-site contractors.
- Work closely with the Company procurement and legal groups to develop contract and settle issues or disputes with contractors.
- Coordinate efforts with mine planning and operations.
- Assist in annual budget development including cost and financial analysis and capital planning.
- Understand and assist in environmental design and regulatory permitting.
- Team oriented with strong communication skills and must provide excellent leadership to the Technical Services Team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Construction and/or project experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 7 years industry experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification a plus.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SurvCADD, Microsoft Office Products, Project Logic and Runge planning software.(Mincom is a plus).
- Valid Drivers License.
