Technical Director

As a the Technical Director in The Company's Special Service sub-division, you will be involved on a range of challenging projects focused on delivering cost-efficient solutions for our customers through technically innovation and in delivery.
The role will be challenging, varied and demanding of a range of skills that offers fantastic opportunities for skill set and career development.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include but not exclusive to:
- Delivering tailored solutions to clients involving any of the following disciplines
- Advanced Structural Analysis & Specialist Studies
- Asset Life Management
- Applied Research & Development
- Sustainable Construction
- Technical Assurance & Expert Witness
- Materials Technology & Corrosion Control
- Leading, managing and supporting the development of junior members of the team
- Ensure that projects are being delivered to agreed costs and time frames
- Supporting and leading on business development opportunities of the sub-division.
- Ensure rapid response to our clients_ needs and can add value to your project.
- Represent The Company with clients and maintain relationships with clients.
- Delivering comprehensive and cost-effective solutions to our clients
- Become a key driver in the development and growth of the Special Services sub-division.
This is a long-term career appointment with the opportunity to advance to a more senior management positions within the Company.
Candidate specification
- The successful candidate is likely to be exceptionally experienced and motivated to use their academic and professional experience in a challenging, varied and technically diverse role
- The individual will have a background of delivering innovative and original solutions to challenging and dynamic projects.
The successful Candidate is likely to have the following characteristics:
- Highly qualified civil/structural engineers from a diversity of design, construction and research backgrounds
- Candidates are likely to have extensive academic qualifications that have been used practically in their previous roles.
- Materials engineers and scientists, including those with skills in geology, geochemistry, cement technology, polymer technology, metallurgy, surface engineering and corrosion will also be strong considered.
- Essential experience will be detailed capability in noise and sound vibration studies as well as advanced structural analysis
- Experience and intuition for business development.
- A proven capability to manage and develop junior professionals in their careers.
- Strong communication skills, good team working skills and good problem solving skills are essential
- A personal drive to deliver tailored solutions to clients to project parameters.
