Welding Engineer

Reporting to the Welding and Materials Technology Director, as a Welding Engineer you will apply your theoretical knowledge and practical experience to further develop and improve pipeline welding operations.
Educated to degree level in Metallurgy or related Materials Science Equivalent, responsibilities will included:
- Assist in the research and development of welding operations.
- Identify opportunities for improving welding process.
- Ensure specified weld equipment meets with engineering requirements.
- Propose cost justifications for new equipment and process changes.
- Maintain technical documentation relating to R&D.
- Provide technical advice and support relating to welding, NDE, fabrication and materials to Projects & Proposals teams.
