Cadia Valley Operations is seeking applications from experienced Concentrator Technicians. Reporting to the Concentration Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Process Plants and assisting with maintenance. This includes the primary crusher and conveying systems, large grinding circuits with SAG mills, ball mills and recycle crushers, gravity separation, flotation and thickening equipment.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Ensuring safe and environmentally responsible operations of both concentrators;
· Becoming competent with, and operating different areas of the plant;
· Achieving set operating parameters and production targets; and
· Working in a close team environment.
Personal Requirements:
· Previous experience in concentrator operations or similar;
· Previous experience in base metal flotation and/or control room operation is essential, preferably with Yokogawa DCS;
· A strong focus on teamwork and inter-departmental communication skills;
· Problem solving abilities;
· Computer skills;
· Mechanical aptitude;
· A strong work ethic and a high level of motivation; and
· The ability and willingness to work rotating shift work, including weekends and public holidays.

Cadia Valley Operations is located approximately 25km south of the scenic and historic community of Orange, NSW. The region offers a diverse range of dining, shopping, nightlife and sporting amenities as well as tourist attractions. Bathurst is 30 minutes drive east, the Blue Mountains 1 hour, and Sydney and the coast are within 3.5 hours drive.
