This position is to manage the geological and metallurgical functions for the Cadia East pre-feasibility and feasibility data collection and studies. What a great opportunity to gain management experience whilst having the luxury of coming home every night.
Due to an internal promotion you will receive senior management support whilst having the opportunity to work with a highly experienced and professional team, your primary objectives will include however will not be limited to the following -
· Effective management of all team including building and developing an effective best practice enabled Geology and Metallurgy
· Safety and environment, ensuring that all appropriate systems are in place and are monitored whilst ensuring all the team and contractors are complying with company policies and procedures
· Implementing resource growth plans that meet with company targets whilst managing budgets to within approved budgets
· Ensuring effective relationships with all stakeholders both externally and internally are maintained
· Ensuring geology inputs and reporting for ongoing Cadia East Feasibility studies meet schedules and gold book quality standards
To be suited to this challenging and rewarding position you will possess qualifications in Geology with at least 10 years experience as well as being able to competently produce reports for Mineral Resources - Porphyry systems. You will also possess effective leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
Cadia Valley Operations is located approximately 25kms south of the scenic and historic community of Orange, NSW. The region offers a diverse range of dining, shopping, nightlife, sporting amenities and tourist attractions. Bathurst is 30 minutes drive east, the Blue Mountains 1 hour, Sydney, Canberra and the coast are within 3.5 hours drive.
The successful candidate will be relocated to Orange and receive a competitive remuneration package.
