Sifto Canada is a subsidiary of Compass Minerals Group, a worldwide leader in the production and distribution of inorganic minerals. ?We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Draftsperson for our underground salt mine in Goderich, Ontario. Goderich is a beautiful community of 8,000 situated on the shore of Lake Huron, about an hour's drive north of London. The mine employs 450 in the production of rock salt and serves customers throughout the Great Lakes region in Canada and the United States.
- This position is responsible for providing ACAD drawing and basic mechanical layout services for the mine.
- As well, the incumbent assists the surveyor for mining advance and major equipment installations, including the layout of conveyor ways, measurement of existing structures and equipment.
- The candidate should be a graduate Engineering Technician, preferably with working knowledge of conveyor systems, crushers, screens, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- The candidate must be proficient in ACAD and have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication and oral presentation skills.
