Interested in working for a company which develops aftermarket parts for the global mining industry. We are looking for a metallurgist with a "hands on" attitude who is interested in taking on an exciting and challenging role with a young engineering team to develop and grown with the company.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager your responsibilities would include:
· Providing written and verbal metallurgical support and expertise to the Engineering team and product manufacturers.
· Taking part in new material research, testing and implementation as part of the Research & Development team.
· Assisting in the establishment of new suppliers and their manufacturing methods to suit the supplied products.
Tertiary qualification in metallurgy (or similar) are essential and good interpersonal skills will be an asset. Although based in [Location], this company is a global business with suppliers and manufacturers around the world, thus the position will require intermittent travel both nationally and internationally.
The ability to work independently with a desire to be challenged, a hunger to learn and an ambition to achieve success are ideal qualities to succeed in this role.
