My client, an emerging Australian mining company is looking for a Plant Metallurgist. You will be assisting in the programming and development of the functional specification for the control system for the concentrator that supports the companies flagship project, a high quality 100% owned tenement positioned in [Location] .
Reporting to the Production Superintendent, your role will involve The timely preparation of PLC programs for the control of the concentrator to determine clear functional specifications so as not to delay the execution of the project
Initially the role will be [Location] based but will in future operate on a 9/5 FIFO roster.
The essential requirements for the position are:
· Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
· 5 - 7 years’ experience in the mineral processing industry
· Process control experience in the crushing, grinding and floatation processes
· Previous experience in PLC programming and ladder logic
· Knowledge and experience in magnetite ore processing will be highly regarded
· Excellent Written and Verbal English language skills
· Computer literacy
