All work relating to Projects & Mine Planning on an open cut coal mine producing over 8 Mtpa
Responsible for compiling the Strategic Business Plan (SBP) for the operation until closure of operation, this includes optimal depletion of the reserves and the financial implication / current value calculation of reserve.
· Initiate Projects of Strategic Nature that could impact on the Life of Mine and profitability of operation, NPV and IRR calculations
· LOM scenario planning
· Optimisation of notional capacity of mine (maximising output of mine) by planning around bottle necks within current system
· Installation of XPAC scheduling software and the continual updating and running of scenario’s on package
· Medium to long term planning
