· As part of this position you will be expected to undertake the following duties
· Open-pit stability and integrity of slopes on mining related geotechnical projects
· Design & construction of Tailings Dams and ground improvement
· Site Investigation across a range of projects along with advanced field testing
· Numerical Modelling analysis, along with centrifuge modelling
· Assist with the planning, undertaking and acquisition of field data along with the analysis of this geotechnical data including logging and mapping.
Ideally a suitable candidate will be degree qualified and posses four to five years of industry experience on geotechnical projects either in the mining or environmental field, however experience within other fields will be regarded highly. Higher degrees will also be regarded favorably. Suitable candidates will also need the ability to both lead and function effectively in teams with a view to managing projects in the future. Overall a candidate must demonstrate and maintain the highest level of professionalism in all aspects of work.
