Located in comfortable offices only a short drive from home with next to no traffic, you will lead a vibrant team of committed Geological professionals and have the scope to influence the direction of key developments at the underground Zn/Pb mine and surrounding projects. You will also provide vital input to the strategic mine planning team and work on the longer term goals.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
·         Manage a team of Senior, Junior Geologists and Technicians
·         Training and development of personnel using both in-house expertise and external consultants
·         Responsible for job descriptions, performance management and staff recruitment
·         Responsible for all geological input into underground planning, development and extraction of orebodies and mines
·         Manage processing of underground and surface diamond core
·         Responsible for annual JORC compliant resource updates, resource statement, resource report and competent person sign off
·         Produce and manage the geology operating budget and capital budget
·         Facilitate company Leadership Development Program
·         Provide support and guidance to technical staff from other areas of the mine

You will ideally be a Senior Geologist from an underground hard rock background looking for the next rung on your career ladder. Your Geology degree and considerable proven experience in mine leadership roles have provided you with the opportunity to manage and develop key projects as well as staffing requirements.
