Our client has over 100 laboratory facilities worldwide. In [Location] the team of 16 specialists utilise the latest technology to assist high profile clients in developing their mining operations and resource knowledge.
This is a role for an experienced Mineralogist with qualifications in Mineralogy, Geology or Materials Science and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Your role is a leadership position for an international workforce and technically challenging projects. Your technical skills will be matched by your project management and business management skills and coupled with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Responsibilities include:
· Development and costing of mineralogical proposals
· Assisting Senior Management in the formulation and execution of business and strategic planning
· Overseeing mineralogical investigations to optimise client satisfaction and profitability
· Preparation of papers for presentation at local and international conferences and publication in peer-reviewed journals
· Mineralogical investigation of a broad range of commodities (e.g. uranium, base metals, mineral sands, chromite);
· Project / Operations Management
· Management and development of junior staff
