Our client is one of Australia's largest contractors, boasting a broad portfolio of over a dozen underground and open cut mines in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Northern Territory. We have a current requirement for a Senior Mining Engineer in [Location]. In this role, you will be provided with job diversity and a challenging working environment where you will directly contribute to the performance of multiple sites.
While fostering innovation and continuous improvement, you will be responsible for:
· Evaluating new developments across the site
· Managing the investment of plant and equipment
· Assist in the preparation of budgets and mine plans
· Assist in the management of contractors
· Determine effective mining methodology to ensure maximum output is delivered
· Coaching and mentoring Graduate Mining Engineers
We are looking for an experience Mining Engineer with a solid background in planning, evaluation and project management. Candidates with the following attributes are encouraged to apply:
· Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems
· Strong commitment to safety
· Aptitude for computing and design
· Degree in Mining Engineering
· Demonstrated competence in open-cut operations
· Leadership attributes with the ability to mentor others
