Civil Projects Superintendent

Our client is part of a leading international mining group who discover, mine and process a diverse range of metals and minerals around the globe. Based in [Location] of Western Australia, mining and production out of their three operations sees them earn the title of the world’s largest exporter within their field.
At present, they are undergoing an exciting expansion process which has resulted in the creation of a new position for a suitably qualified and experienced individual who will lead them through this phase. As the Civil Projects Superintendent you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of major civil and expansion projects for their operations.
Working from their corporate office in [Location], you will be involved in project development from conception right through to execution. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
· Ensuring the timely and cost effective completion of projects
· Project management including scope, schedule, design, construction and commissioning
· Procurement services in relation to contract tender and selection
· Ensuring HSE and appropriate risk management
· Overseeing plant and equipment maintenance, reliability and optimisation
· Liaising with various departments regarding appropriate approvals and clearances
· Other duties as required
To ensure your success in this role, it is expected you will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil/Structural) coupled with significant project management experience within the resources or similar industry. Exposure to contractor safety management and risk analysis will also be essential.
This position is based in [Location], however will require frequent travel to site.
