Senior Mining Engineer

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity with one of the most popular employers within the Australian mining industry. Our client is seeking applications from Senior Mining Engineers looking to work on an enormous project in Western Australia's renowned [Location].
This fantastic opportunity will give you the ability to work for a leading organisation that operates numerous mining projects across Australia and the international stage, while providing its employees a secure future and variety across a range of mining environments. 
 
Within this critical senior role you will manage 10 direct reports within the mining engineering team and your key focus will be aimed at short to long term planning functions for the mine development and operations.

In addition this position will allow you to say goodbye to 5am flights and travel at a civilized hour and it will offer a salary of $160-180k.
 
Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will be required to undertake the following duties:
·         Lead a team of 8 mining engineers 
·         Ensure development of short-to-medium term production plans
·         Approving designs for the open cut, ramps, dumps and haul roads
·         Scheduling daily activities and assessing long term capabilities
·         Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
 
In order to fulfill this role, candidates will ideally have:
·         Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
·         5+ years experience in open cut mine planning roles
·         Proficiency using mining software
·         Proven leadership capabilities
·         Effective oral and written communication skills
 
This is a permanent role that is offered on a 9/5 FIFO roster ex WA locations. It comes with a fantastic remuneration package to rival the best in the industry as well as the potential to accelerate your career with a leading mining contractor.
