Our Calgary, AB office is seeking a qualified individual for a Core Services Group Manager role in the continuing development of our Geotechnical Group.
The group focuses on upstream and downstream oil and gas, manufacturing, mining developments, commercial infrastructure and resource based industrial developments for public, private, and First Nations clients, renewable energy projects as well as international [Company] projects, many of which will be in the Energy, Mining, and Hydrocarbons Sectors.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
- As the successful candidate, you will be able to perform the following:
- Managing the growth, development, and profitability of the Calgary Geotechnical group;
- Developing business in the geotechnical industry;
- Preparing and implementing the Infrastructure and Geotechnical strategy;
- Managing geotechnical investigations/projects and writing geotechnical reports for various facilities, structures and developments;
- Providing senior mentorship for junior/intermediate geotechnical and civil engineers;
- Project management;
- Project communication including liaising with clients, contractors, approving authorities, utility companies, and sub-consultants;
- Supervising tender document preparation; and
- Providing guidance and support for growing geotechnical capabilities within WorleyParsons domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
- A degree in geotechnical or civil engineering or related field;
- Preference will be given to qualified professionals with a minimum 7 years geotechnical experience in the industrial and energy resources sectors;
- Registered professional or eligible to be a registered professional in the Province of Alberta or Canada;
- Ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues.
- Dedication to training and learning, and continued career development;
- The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; and.
- An interest in working on large infrastructure projects.
