Our client is a recognised specialist in electrical and mechanical support of longwall underground coal mining operations in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Employing more than 50 people, over the past decade, our client has grown steadily on the back of a single focus; Customer Service. Strategically located in Mackay, it is poised to exploit the current market growth domestically and into the Asian region.

The dynamic nature of this client presents a unique opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to grow their career within this technologically progressive industry. Based in Mackay, you will enjoy the great Northern Queensland lifestyle whilst maintaining a market leading salary.

As their new Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:
·         Design electrical panels and equipment including underground mining equipment
·         Project management, estimation and budgeting
·         Commissioning of equipment both pre-delivery and on-site
·         CAD drawing using AutoCAD
·         PLC programming and troubleshooting

Do you have?
·         A recognised Electrical Engineering Degree
·         Experience within Mining operations is an advantage, yet not necessary
·         Experience in the use of AutoCAD
·         A passion for getting the job done
·         Highly developed communication and problem solving skills
