Description
The Fort Hill’s Mine Maintenance department is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Mine Maintenance Planner. Reporting to the Team Lead – Mine Maintenance and based at the Fort Hills site, the Mine Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities in the Mining Business Area. This position in our maintenance team is a key component to our objective of having the top performing fleet of mining equipment in the oil sands. Accountabilities
- Define, assemble and sequence maintenance scopes and tasks to safely and effectively utilize resources while maximizing the availability of equipment to operations.
- Interface with supply chain to acquire and track materials and services.
- Interface with maintenance and production personnel to coordinate maintenance plans.
- Issue weekly and multi-week maintenance schedules.
- Provide workforce and cost estimates as required.
- Create and maintain standard job plans.
- Ensure equipment strategies, records and data within the CMMS is kept current and accurate for maintenance.
- Review work history for maintenance delays, changes in job execution, etc for improvement to plans issued from planning and scheduling.
- Report on planning and scheduling performance indicators.
Capability Requirements
- Trade or technical experience maintaining large mining equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of maintenance planning and scheduling principals and concepts.
- Ability to use computers and multiple applications such as SAP and Microsoft Office Products
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a group environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to work in an office and field environments
Additional Information
At the completion of orientation and training, the initial work schedule is 7 on, 7 off work week consisting of 12 working hours per day.
The position is located at the Fort Hills site north of Fort McMurray. Flexible options for living arrangement will be provided such as commuting or relocation.
