This Organisation is the owner/operator of one of the world's premier gold mines. [Location] in the north east of PNG, this mine is a serious player among gold producers globally.
They currently have a vacancy for a Senior Mine Engineer with extensive experience in long term planning and scheduling. The role requires someone that has the ability to effectively contribute and influence the development of the mine planning team. Someone that is aware of the importance of operational leadership and is committed to achieving business objectives through the optimisation of the value of the organisational resource. The position is a FIFO role with a 15 on / 13 off roster.
To be considered for the role you will need:
· A degree qualification within Mining Engineering
· Extensive experience in open pit metalliferous mining environment
· Substantial experience within a mine planning role
· Solid understanding of mine planning software such as Minesight or Talpac
· Competency with optimisation software such as Whittle and Xeras
· Sound awareness and understanding of operational risk management and health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
