Our client owns and operates one of the worlds most technologically advanced mine sites. Responsibilities:
· Actively contribute to the safety management and performance.
· Supervise and complete the delineation and extraction of the ore reserves by applying effective dilution and mine recovery controls.
· Organise, validate and track mine production data.
· Supervise ore stockpiles and blends to ensure forecast grades and recovery targets are achieved.
· Assist with mine to mill reconciliation and end of month reporting.
· Log geological samples associated with blast, RC and diamond drilling programs.
· Organise and validate grade control data within the departments grade control software systems.
· Map geological and geotechnical features of pit walls and floors.
· Assist with planning and implementing drilling programs.
· Supervise geological technicians.
· Complete project work as assigned by the Geology Superintendent or Senior Mine Geologist.
You will bring the following skills and abilities:
· Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of two years geology experience in underground and/or open pit mines.
· Exposure to Surpac and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
· Possess sound organisational, written, verbal and technical skills.
