Senior Planning Engineer – Underground

An exciting opportunity has come about for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer who will provide technical support and advice to their underground operation. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the development of production strategies in order to ensure optimisation.

With a particular focus on strategic planning, this will include:
·         Leading a team of technical mine planning staff
·         Conducting mine optimisation studies
·         Underground ore reserve estimation
·         All aspects of medium and long term planning
·         Feasibility studies in relation to phase sequencing, mining equipment and infrastructure
·         Other duties as required

To be considered for this fantastic career opportunity it is expected you will have:
·         Relevant tertiary qualifications
·         Extensive experience in underground mining operations including estimation and life of mine plan development
·         The ability to lead and motivate others
·         Strong computer skills and exposure to mining software packages
