Our client is a major multi-national mining organisation and world leader of custom copper concentrate supply. The company is recognised for its ability to attract outstanding professionals from all over the world while providing them with challenges within a significant remote mining operation. These positions are based in the South Pacific Rim where local facilities include a shopping complex, well-equipped hospital, school, sporting venues and a six-day a week air service. TEAM COORDINATOR MAINTENANCE PLANNING & TECHNICAL SUPPORT
As a senior member of the mobile equipment maintenance department, reporting directly to the Manager Mobile Equipment Maintenance, you will essentially focus on the following:
- Scheduling and planning all maintenance in conjunction with the Team Coordinator Primary Mining Fleet and Team Coordinator Ancillary Mining Fleet;
ยท Providing leadership and supervision to the Planning & Technical Support teams to ensure reliable, consistent and cost effective maintenance for the mobile mining fleet is achieved;
- Participating in and contributing to the continuous improvement of mobile equipment maintenance and sustainable strategy development programs;
- Actively monitoring, reviewing and providing management and team feedback on budget and equipment performance against set targets; and
- Training and development of all national employees within your team.
Your qualifications, experience and attributes should include:
- Relevant Trade Certificate or Engineering qualifications;
- 8 - 10 years hands-on experience in all facets of maintenance in the heavy equipment or mining industry;
- Experience in Ellipse or similar computer based maintenance systems;
- High level of Safety awareness and commitment to ensuring compliance with relevant Safety and Occupational Health Standards and legislative requirements at the workplace;
- Relevant maintenance planning, budgeting and performance measuring systems experience; and
- Proven leadership qualities with management, interpersonal and decision-making skills.
Team Coordinator Primary Mining Fleet Maintenance
Reporting directly to the Manager Mobile Equipment Maintenance, and as a senior member of the mobile equipment maintenance department, you will essentially focus on the following:
- Providing leadership and supervision to the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team to ensure reliable, consistent and cost effective maintenance for the mobile mining fleet is achieved;
- Coordinating and motivating your team to ensure reliable and consistent operation of all mobile equipment;
- Participating in and contributing to the continuous improvement of mobile equipment maintenance and sustainable strategy development programs;
- Actively monitoring, reviewing and providing management and team feedback on budget and equipment performance against set targets; and
- Training & development of national employees in all aspects of the mobile equipment maintenance operations.
Your qualifications, experience and attributes should include:
- A Mechanical, Electrical or Engineering background with appropriate trade or tertiary qualifications;
- 8 - 10 years hands-on experience in all facets of maintenance in the heavy equipment or mining industry;
- High level of Safety awareness and commitment to ensuring compliance with relevant Safety and Occupational Health Standards and legislative requirements at the workplace;
- Understanding of maintenance planning, budgeting and performance measuring systems (exposure to Ellipse or similar computer-based maintenance system a distinct advantage); and
- Strong leadership qualities, combining sound decision making abilities, developed interpersonal skills, and an ability to motivate and develop team members.
